VALUES

Dream Maker

A quiet revolution - One community at a time
Uplifting people through the engagement with,
state of the art value-based performing arts.

Everyone yearn for positive values.

In this time and day there is a longing for a return to joyful coexistence throughout our communities. In SQP's shows values like honesty, peace and freedom are juxtaposed with greed and selfishness.

These shows are very funny, but the message is clear:
Hip-hop culture, materialism, greed and selfishness are

all given a kick, whilst the positive values embodied by

simple characters eventually always succeed.

One Perfect Day (Maria & Romeo)

Our work leads on from a great tradition of family entertainment like Mary Poppins and Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang

that all use humor and beautiful music to carry the message of peace, love and lots of fun for everyone involved.

Let's go forward spreading positive values, enthusiasm, laughter and good feelings.
Positive thoughts, together with gentle perseverance, is capable of miracles. The impossible becomes possible.

In The Dream Maker

the children discover the suitcase can fly and the King's vanity is repaid as he parades naked through town. Our hearts reach out
to the poor match girl in the cold street, the Ugly Duckling turns into a swan, and it is the simple happy farmer that win the
hand of the princess- not the learned arrogant men of the city.

In Fantasia of Fairytales

no one makes the audience laugh louder than the Wolf as he pursues the 3 pigs, and later cooks Cinderella in a big black pot.

The Wolf is pure greed.  The prince is his direct opposite; generosity.
Cinderella is full of love and simplicity - her step-sisters are not! Merlin embodies wisdom - the step-mother ignorance.
As an audience we enjoy the scenes and the mad clashes between characters. The children enjoy the spectacle and the

adults recognise the clashes of values. We all cheer as love wins the day!

It is said that faith can move mountains.

Save The Circus

is all about the courage to dare. The courage to stand up for your dear ones and fight for what is most important in life;

your family and friends.
The Texas Rodeo Girl and her girls sing some great over-the-top Country & Western songs, but are selfish

and manipulative to an extent which turns them into truly comical characters.

Pitched against them is a circus family full of the most colorful characters:

Lion (courage), knife-thrower (self-control), clowns (joy and cunning), trapeze artist and cannonball man (love),

lion-tamer, strongman, jugglers, Ringmaster... They are all there fighting for their family, friends and home.

There are no raised fingers or moralising in these shows - only standing ovations at the end.
We can't stop ourselves laughing as we watch the comical baddies spin their silly nets of deceit.
We can't stop ourselves cheering as the goddies win it all in the end! Night after night!

Selfishness blocks the heart. Peace, love and laughter sets it free.

Life's a chocolate - so learn to box
life's a candy - so learn to floss
laugh! When all is tragic
but remember! All the magic!
If you're a peasant - or a king
life's a song - so learn to sing!
Love your own neighbor...
he might return the favor

Come and join us!
In our search for
Love and laughter
Ever after

Laugh and dance and sing
And just be you, and no one else
Then life will lead you by the nose
And all the world will smell of roses

So many of us live our day-to-day lives simply going through the motions. We just go on doing the things we've always done. We don't take the time to explore our hearts and decide if what we are doing, thinking and spending our time on are the things that truly matter to us.

Take a moment and think about your day yesterday.  Was it lived from your heart?  Did you do things that had real "feelings" attached to them?  Did you get done the things that are meaningful to you - even one thing?  If you answer yes to any of these, you are on the right track!
